The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has recovered the Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) from the wreckage of the ATR-42 aircraft involved in the air crash at Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The recovery, 30 days after the incident, marks a significant breakthrough in efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

The Cockpit Voice Recorder is expected to provide vital information about communications and activities in the aircraft’s cockpit before the crash, helping investigators reconstruct the final moments of the flight.

The development is considered a major milestone in the ongoing investigation, with attention now focused on analysing the recovered device to establish the possible cause of the accident.
