President Bola Tinubu has returned to Abuja after spending six days in Lagos following his return to Nigeria from a working vacation in Europe.
The President’s aircraft touched down at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at about 7:45 p.m. on Monday.
He was received by the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu; Director of Protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ibrahim Sule Dan Agundi, and other senior security officials.
President Tinubu had arrived in Lagos on September 29 after spending his working vacation in London and Paris, where he held meetings with political and business interests.
While in Lagos, the President participated in activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary, including the national premiere of MKO, a documentary on the life and democratic struggle of the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola.
Tinubu, accompanied by the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, attended the October 1 screening at the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts.
The President also received senior government officials and political leaders during his stay, including Vice President Kashim Shettima, who visited him at his Lagos residence.
President Tinubu had earlier dismissed concerns about his health upon his arrival in Lagos, saying he was ready to resume full duties.
His return to Abuja is expected to see him resume official activities at the State House, with the administration continuing its economic, security and other national programmes.
