American singer and songwriter John Legend has unveiled a new musical project titled Muse, produced in collaboration with renowned musician and producer Pharrell Williams.
The sixteen-track album marks the first full-length collaboration between the two entertainers after more than twenty years of friendship.
Reports say much of the project was recorded at Pharrell Williams’ studio inside Louis Vuitton’s headquarters in Paris.
Legend explained that Williams encouraged him to experiment with a more conversational vocal delivery on some tracks, moving away from the powerful singing style that has characterised many of his earlier hits.
The singer, known for popular songs including All of Me and Ordinary People, said he remains committed to exploring new creative directions rather than relying solely on past successes.
Beyond music, Legend is also expanding his creative activities into theatre. He is composing an original score for the upcoming stage musical Imitation of Life, scheduled to open in New York in December.
The new album reflects the singer’s continued effort to evolve musically after more than two decades in the international entertainment industry.
