The Ondo State Radiovision Corporation (OSRC) Media Group has reaffirmed its commitment to improving programming and content across its three broadcast stations to meet evolving audience preferences and enhance public service delivery.
This formed the focus of the corporation’s last-quarter content review meeting, where management and content teams assessed programmes aired during the outgoing quarter, evaluated achievements and challenges, and mapped out strategies for improved performance.
Orange FM’s Oluseye Akinwalere reports that the meeting, held at the media group’s boardroom, brought together heads of departments from OSRC Television, Orange 94.5 FM and Sunshine 96.5 FM to review content for the fourth quarter and develop strategies for the months ahead.
The Director General of OSRC Media Group, Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, represented by his Technical Adviser, Collins Olagundoye, stressed the need for continuous improvement in content development and broadcasting operations.
He commended staff for their commitment and discipline, describing the corporation’s transition to 24-hour broadcasting as a significant achievement.
While acknowledging progress in infrastructure and content development, the Director General emphasised the need for further improvements to meet global broadcasting standards.
The Director of News and Current Affairs at Orange 94.5 FM, Bimpe Akindele, said the review would establish new targets, introduce innovations and strengthen news coverage ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Similarly, the Director of News and Current Affairs at OSRC Television, Taiwo Ibitoye, announced a change in the corporation’s flagship evening news schedule, with the English News moving from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., while the Yoruba News would now air at 7 p.m., followed immediately by Egberi.
He explained that the adjustment was part of efforts to strengthen the corporation’s competitiveness and attract a wider audience.
The Director of Programmes at OSRC, Ireti Alewi, and the Director of Operations at Sunshine 96.5 FM, Bukola Ogunkua, said the quarterly review was designed to assess existing programmes, identify areas for improvement and plan for upcoming productions.
They also announced the reintroduction of programmes, including Ijoko Ojogbon, into the corporation’s content lineup.
The meeting further highlighted plans for new programmes aimed at promoting community dialogue, public awareness and greater audience participation.
The review is expected to guide programming decisions and content development across the three stations as OSRC Media Group continues to strengthen its broadcasting operations and improve service delivery to the public.
