Veteran Nollywood actor, Francis Duru, has died at the age of 57 following a brief illness.
His family announced his death in a statement shared on his verified Instagram page, disclosing that the actor passed away in the early hours of today.
The family expressed sadness over the loss and appealed to the public for prayers, love and understanding as they mourn the late actor.
Duru’s death comes about two years after he lost his youngest son, Ifeanyi, in 2024.
The late actor was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s film industry, Nollywood, where he featured in numerous movie productions and established himself as a respected name in the entertainment sector.
