Nigerian music star Burna Boy has headlined the halftime show at the National Football League’s (NFL) historic Paris game, further showcasing the global reach of Afrobeats.
The Grammy-winning singer performed on Sunday at the Stade de France during the league’s first regular-season game in France, featuring the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints.
The performance marked Burna Boy’s return to the stadium, where he became the first African artiste to headline a solo concert in April 2025.
The show was part of the NFL’s 2026 international games programme, which featured musical performances across seven countries and four continents.
Burna Boy’s appearance further highlighted the growing presence of Nigerian artistes on major international entertainment and sporting platforms.
