Ondo State Deputy Governor, Dr Olayide Adelami, has been honoured as the Most Outstanding Deputy Governor in the South-West in recognition of his harmonious working relationship with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his peaceful disposition within the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The award was presented by the Nigeria Consensus and Awareness for Bola Ahmed Tinubu 2027 Support Group during a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor in Akure.

The delegation, operating under the APC, was led by its Director of Mobilisation and Legal Adviser, Professor Ibibia Worika.

Speaking during the visit, Professor Worika said the recognition was informed by Dr Adelami’s cordial relationship with his principal, Governor Aiyedatiwa, as well as his ability to maintain peace and unity within the party.

He noted that the Deputy Governor had sustained a harmonious working relationship with the governor, without reported disagreements between them or other party members.

Professor Worika also reaffirmed the group’s commitment to consolidating the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration through increased mobilisation and support for his re-election bid in the 2027 general election.

Responding, Dr Adelami expressed appreciation for the recognition, describing it as an honour and encouragement to remain committed to public service.

He said although public recognition was not his primary motivation, the award would further strengthen his resolve to serve diligently.

The Deputy Governor also reaffirmed the Ondo State Government’s readiness to support groups and initiatives working towards President Tinubu’s re-election.

Dr Adelami and members of the support group pledged to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
