WHITE HOUSE DENIES REPORTS OF HEGSETH, RUBIO’S POSSIBLE EXIT AFTER REPUBLICAN ELECTION LOSSES

The White House has dismissed reports suggesting that United States Defence Secretary, Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, could leave their positions following a possible post-election shake-up in President Donald Trump’s administration.

The denial follows media reports indicating growing calls for Hegseth’s replacement, particularly over his handling of the Iran war, which has reportedly contributed to Republican losses in the recent elections.

Meanwhile, an outgoing Republican member of Congress has threatened to initiate an impeachment vote against Hegseth next week.

In response, the Defence Secretary has released a video statement defending his record in office and condemning the impeachment effort.

Rubio has also dismissed reports that he is considering stepping down as Secretary of State ahead of the 2028 presidential election.

The reports of a possible shake-up have fuelled speculation about the future of key officials in the Trump administration following the Republicans’ electoral setbacks.
